A birds view of Babenhausen shows the post with the "new" water tower and the first ten main buildings in the housing area are completed, the three balcony buildings are missing, also the elementary school, and the field grade quarters.

The newly constructed 1/27 Barracks complex stands tall and is ready to accommodate the troops, while the old motropool building (2nd from right) would be torn down shortly after.
